A BIBLE STORY PLAY FOR THE YOUNG
First, you need two "boats"--a large box perhaps (big enough to fit a few young folks in) or make a bigger one with cardboard and have chairs inside. If you go to an appliance store, you may be able to get a refrigerator box--they work great! You need a bunch of fish to lay around the boat--in the water (you might not want to use real fish, they'd get pretty stinky after a while and they sure are slippery)! Use your imagination on the scenery here.
THE WORDS:
Fisherman four went fishing one night;
Rowed (1) in their boats with all their might;
Threw (2) out their nets in the water - swish!
And drew (3) them up, but found not a fish.
They threw (2) and pulled (3), threw (2) and pulled (3), and pulled (3) some more;
Till their shoulders (4) and backs and arms were sore.
When Yahshua said, "Throw," they let down (2) the net, hoping at least a few fish to get.
This time the net took four men to pull!
Shining fish piled up till both boats were full! (6)
THE MOTIONS:
(1) Row with large side-ward strokes;
(2) Throw out the nets;
(3) Draw up the nets and look carefully for fish;
(4) Rub sore shoulders and arms and backs;
(5) Pull the net in with great effort;
(6) Indicate the full boat with your hands.
