LESSON 3 - CAIN AND ABEL

brothers

Do you know who Cain and Abel were?

Cain and Abel were brothers. Adam and Eve, the first two people Yahweh put on the Earth, were their Mom and Dad.

Broccoli? Now where in the Bible does it say that? Think hard!

Cain was a farmer who raised fruit and vegetables. He raised wheat, barley and broccoli.

Abel was a shepherd. He raised sheep and took care of them.lamb

Back in the time of Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel, people had to give sacrifices to Yahweh. Today we give sacrifices of praise to Yahweh.

When they were to give a sacrifice, it was to be the very best they had. It's no different now, when you offer up a sacrifice of praise to Yahweh, it should be sincere and from your heart. You do your best.

special

Abel gave Yahweh his very best lamb.

Cain gave Yahweh an offering of his fruits and vegetables. He wasn't willing to give Yahweh what was required.

Yahweh accepted Abel's sacrifice of a lamb but He didn't accept Cain's sacrifice and that made Cain very angry.

Cain got mad at Abel. He got so mad that he killed his brother Abel!

Because Cain killed his brother Abel, Yahweh caused Cain to suffer for the rest of his life.

SUFFERINGS:

There are all sorts of ways people, even boys and girls can "suffer." Think about what this word "suffer" means and see if you can list (with some help perhaps) various areas that you, in your life, would consider "suffering."

Yahweh gave laws that people should love other people. He gave laws for us to follow because He loves us. Keeping His laws makes people happy. Children should love, respect and obey their parents (Ephesians 6:1-3).

We have to learn that even though our way may seem to be right, it is always better for us if we follow Yahweh's ways.

LESSON 3 - ACTIVITIES

There were some activities in the Lesson and we pray you did them before clicking to come here!

I think everyone likes to color! Even Moms, Dads and Grandparents! So when you print out coloring pages, maybe you should print an extra one for them!
