Deliver Me From The Mire

We’ve had many activities throughout this camp. We had several excellent seminars that were helping our spirituality, I think. You guys are going to have to bear with me. I’m losing my voice (it happens every year). The slogan of our camp this year was Psalm 69:14, and I’m going to read a little of it.

Psalm 69:13-15, But as for me, my prayer is to You, O YAHWEH, at an acceptable time; O Elohim, in the greatness of Your lovingkindness, answer me with Your saving truth. Deliver me from the mire and do not let me sink; may I be delivered from my foes and from the deep waters. May the flood of water not overflow me, nor the deep swallow me up, nor the pit shut its mouth on me.

I think it was either Keith or Dwayne that was giving a seminar the other day and was talking about this scripture here. They were saying the mire is the world around us—all the evil, the sin, the unholy things that are out there. We are supposed to be steadfast and try to stay away from that mire. Keith was saying last night that Yahshua will deliver us from the mire into the Kingdom. He will pull us out and take us there and we’ll live there, we’ll praise there and we’ll worship all in the Kingdom, someday, hopefully soon.

This world that we’re living in is going downhill rapidly. There are things that you can be entangled in just by hanging out with your friends and the people you love. Sometimes you need to change who you hang out with and who you are around, because they aren’t exactly the greatest people and you should always ask, “What would Yahshua do if He was in your place or if He was watching you.” I know that in my past, I’ve done some very unholy things and I haven’t exactly lived up to the type of person Yahshua would want, but this camp has helped me realize that we should always think about what He would do if He was watching you. I think that our slogan this year was excellent—one of the best we’ve ever had and we need to stay away from the mire and be aware that Yahshua will pull us out if we are in there and He will deliver us into the Kingdom.

HalleluYAH!
